Latest ResearchIn a study by Gregorova et al. (2025), researchers investigated the role of microRNAs in the progression of multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. They analyzed the expression of microRNAs in bone marrow plasma from patients with multiple myeloma, extramedullary disease, and plasma cell leukemia. The study identified 42 microRNAs that were significantly dysregulated among the patient subgroups. Notably, four microRNAs (miR-140-3p, miR-584-5p, miR-191-5p, and miR-143-3p) were found to be elevated in multiple myeloma patients when compared to those with more aggressive forms of the disease. | ||||||||||||
